DROP INS & STALLS

This workshop is for skaters who have mastered the basics of park skating and feel ready to learn the drop in and frontside stall on the coping. We dedicate an entire workshop to this, so we can take our time and no one feels rushed through the learning process. Building up the courage to drop in takes time and can feel a bit daunting, but with the right support it can be the most exhilirating and fun experience!

Participants need to bring their own roller skates, helmets and protective gear (wrist guards, knee & elbow pads). For this workshop you will also need slide blocks - it’s possible to drop in and stall without them, but you will be much more stable on the coping if you have these mounted. For extra protection you can also find crash pads in our protective gear recommendations!

What’s on the Program

After warming up together, we spend some time pumping in the ramp to help ground us in our skates. We learn different techniques on how to prevent falls and see what works best for which skater. We start with the smallest ramp and work our way up to the bigger ramp. We learn how to step out of the ramp and end each lesson on frontside stalls. The goal is to unlock the drop in and stall - it’s a game changer!
